Built for the careers the tools forgot.
Calibre is a UK job platform for senior marketers typically 10 to 20 years in, last title Marketing Director, VP Marketing, or Head of, and looking for what comes next on terms that fit a real life.
The mainstream tools weren’t built for this. Indeed and LinkedIn surface US roles you can’t take. "Hybrid" in a UK ad often means four days in a London office. And an algorithm trained to filter for "Head of" doesn’t know what to do with someone who has been a Marketing Director for eight years and is applying for a Marketing Manager role on purpose.
Calibre fixes three things, narrowly:
- UK only. No noise.
- Real hybrid. We read the description, not the dropdown.
- Right-sized applications. If you’re likely to be filtered out for being over-qualified, we say so and we help you reframe it.
Two ways to use it: the job board, refreshed every six hours, and the daily digest, delivered at 10am.
The Integrity score
Every role on Calibre carries an Integrity score from 0 to 100. Higher is cleaner. It’s a deterministic signal, not an AI guess. We start each listing at 100 and deduct points when the post shows patterns that waste your time or hint at bad practice:
- No salary disclosed (−15). A range is the UK pay-transparency norm. Missing it skews negotiations from the start.
- Experience inflation (−10). Manager / Specialist titles demanding 8+ years usually filter out qualified people and signal unclear scoping.
- Senior IC red flag (−12). A Senior, Head, Director or VP title with no team to manage explicit “individual contributor”, “first marketing hire”, “player-coach”, “standalone”, or a leader-level JD that never mentions direct reports. Leader accountability on a manager-level setup, with no budget or people to deliver it.
- Culture red flags (−5 each, up to 3). “Work hard, play hard”, “fast-paced”, “rockstar”, “we’re a family”, “unlimited holiday”, “competitive salary” all known proxies for burnout, chaos, or transparency dodges.
- Live 3 months or more (−20). The classic ghost-post pattern: still listed, no hiring movement.
- Reposted (−7 per repost, capped −20). Repeat postings often mean the role never closes, or the company is fishing the market without approved budget.
Scores band into Clean (80+), Watch (55 79), and High risk (under 55). Hover any score on a card to see exactly which flags fired and why.
The filters
The sidebar on the job board exists to let you cut the noise in one click:
- Remote. Fully remote, hybrid 1 2 days, or hybrid up to 3. We read the description, not just the dropdown, and strip US-only “remote” roles before they reach you.
- Role. Head of, Director / VP, Marketing Manager, Field, Content, Demand gen, Brand, Product marketing classified from the title, not self-declared categories.
- City. Ten major UK hubs (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cambridge, Oxford, Brighton) plus the listed location string.
- Audience: B2C or B2B. Detected from the JD. B2C pulls consumer, D2C, retail, ecommerce, loyalty, lifecycle, social-first, influencer, community. B2B pulls SaaS, ABM, enterprise, demand gen, mid-market, sales-led, pipeline. Roles that genuinely span both stay visible until you pick a side.
- Posted. Last 24h, 48h, or 7 days. Default is 48h so you don’t miss anything between morning coffees.
- Ghost-post filters. Two toggles: Hide live 3mo+ and Hide reposts. Use them when you want only the freshest, confirmed-budget roles.
Search is a plain title-and-keyword match. Combine it with the chips for surgical results e.g. “CRM” + Remote + Hide reposts.
